Tim Healy

Tim Healy joined Schunk and Associates in February of 2003, taking on responsibility for business development. Prior to joining the firm, Tim managed E-Business, IT Architecture and Technical Services for a subsidiary of Ingersoll-Rand. Significant contributions included an international website and business process redesign that increased operating margins by 39%, maintaining software expenditures within 5% of original costs while expanding mainframe capacity six-fold, reducing staff, and integrating capacity disciplines with business planning.

Technical achievements included full automation of mainframe operating and disaster recovery disciplines, refreshable exits, and extension of consolidated system management disciplines to distributed environments. These, and other efforts, allowed service capabilities to increase while the costs of staff, hardware and software decreased.

Prior to completing his career at Ingersoll-Rand, Tim worked at IBM, as the Regional Large Systems MVS Specialist for the System Integration and Professional Services business unit. Working with executives and technical management at insurance, retail, manufacturing and food companies, Tim helped each to improve operations and recover gracefully from difficulties. Tim also taught SMP/E and MVS internals to IBM staff and customers.

Tim has an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, an MA from the University of Washington, a diploma in System Analysis from the days before Computer Science from NYU and is an active member of Mensa.
